Σημαντικη λεπτομερεια που δεν ξερω αν σε ενδιαφερει:

Στο γερμανικο φορουμ ο χρηστης λεει οτι με το WXCam η καμερα δουλευει αλλα με το Σκαιπ ΔΕΝ κανει τιποτα!

Το αν δουλεύει το ένα ή το άλλο έχει να κάνει με το Video4Linux έκδοση 1 και έκδοση 2. Νομίζω ότι το Skype υποστηρίζει μόνο έκδοση 1, ενώ το WXCam υποστηρίζει και τις δύο εκδόσεις.
Το παραπάνω μήνυμα σφάλματος που κάνει αναφορά σε uvcvideo δείχνει ότι μπορεί να υπάρχει κάποια μικρή λεπτομέρεια που χρειάζεται διόρθωση.
Το UVCVideo είναι ένα πρότυπο που αν μια κάμερα το υποστηρίζει, τότε δουλεύει ένας γενικός οδηγός. Τώρα όλες οι κάμερες πάνε προς το πρότυπο αυτό.
Οπότε, εδώ το συγκεκριμένο μοντέλο φαίνεται να έχει μια ασυμβατότητα. Θέλει παραπάνω γοογλάρισμα και ξεδιάλεγμα των αποτελεσμάτων.

Όταν πας να μεταγλωττίσεις προγράμματα, βλέπεις το παραπάνω κλασσικό. Είναι τόσο κλασσικό που όταν μάθεις τη λύση, θα μπορείς να μεταγλωττίζεις όποιο πρόγραμμα θελήσεις. Εκεί που σταμάτησε η διαδικασία είναι και το σημείο που πρέπει να κάνεις κάτι, και μετά να εκτελέσεις την τελευταία εντολή ξανά (εδώ - ./configure).
