μπα το ιδιο κανει οτι και να κανω...μαλον το νεο kernel φταει...
Εβαλα και το kubuntu kde4 και μου κανει και εκει κατι κουλα.....

Με πιο παλιό kernel δεν έχεις πρόβλημα δηλαδή?
Το kde4 δικαιολογημένα κάνεις κουλά.Είναι ακόμα beta...

Λοιπον εβαλα το νεο ubuntu 8.04.1 και ειναι ολα καλα απο θεμα εικονας!
Μια απορια...το wireless γιατι δεν το βλεπει? Λεει οτι εχει μια wireless καρτα αλλα πανω δεξια που ειναι το εικονιδιο του lan οταν κανω κλικ εκει δεν μου εχει επιλογη να βαλω wireless settings ή μαλλον δεν εχει καν το wireless ...
την καρτα παντος την εχει βρει και τα κουμπια του laptop τα βλεπει ολα οκ

Δώσε Alt+F2 και γράψε εκεί network-admin αν βλέπεις ασύρματη κάρτα είσαι οκ , αν όχι τότε άνοιξε το τερματικό και δώσε την εντολή :

Μετα απο κάθε εντολή ότι σου βγάζει copy/paste σε ένα αρχείο κειμένου και ανέβασε το εδώ .

comfuzio, αν θες, για να παίρνεις καλύτερες απαντήσεις-βοήθεια, θα ήταν χρήσιμο να ρίξεις μια ματιά στο Φιλικές οδηγίες προς νεοεισερχόμενους σε forum ή linux και να φτιάξεις την υπογραφή σου παρόμοια με την δική μου, με λεπτομέρειες για το σύστημά σου. Για παράδειγμα, τώρα έχεις πρόβλημα με το ασύρματο, αλλά δεν έχουμε ιδέα τι κάρτα έχεις...

Ναι εχεις δικιο!
Νομιζω οτι την εφτιαξα τωρα την υπογραφη μου...την ειχα κανει και πιο παλια αλλα μαλλον ηταν πιο μεγαλη και δεν την πηρε το site...
Την καρτα που εχω λοιπον στην υπογραφη μου την βλεπει οτι υπαρχει αλλα οταν κανω κλικ πανω δεξια για να μου βγαλει το μενου για να ψαξει για δικτυα δεν υπαρχει καθολου αυτη η επιλογη

To dmesg ειναι πολυ μεγαλο για να το κανω c/p

Ψάχνοντας με λεκτικά AR5007EG hardy στο google και κυρίως στο http://ubuntuforums.org βρήκα πολλά links.
Χωρίς να τα διαβάσω διότι είναι μακροσκελή, παραθέτω μερικά.
Είναι σημαντικό να τα διαβάσεις ολόκληρα προτού κάνεις κάτι, να τα καταλάβεις, και όχι να κάνεις το πρώτο πράγμα που διαβάζεις.
Πάντως φαίνεται ότι υπάρχει λύση. Αν δεν τα πας καλά με αγγλικά ή αν μπερδευτείς κάπου, ρώτα εδώ.

Απ ότι είδα υπάρχουν λύσες για τα προβλήματα που έχεις , απλά δεν σου γράφω ακόμα τίποτα επειδή δεν είμαι ακόμα σίγουρος αν είναι σωστές
Alt+F2 και γράφεις εκει gksu gedit /etc/apt/sources.list βάλε τα παρακάτω σβήνοντας ότι έχει εκεί

και μετά από το Σύστημα/Διαχείριση Συστήματος /Διαχείριση ενημερώσεων κανε Έλεγχο να δεις αν υπάρχουν , επίσης τσέκαρε και στο Σύστημα/Διαχείριση Συστήματος /Οδηγοί Υλικού αν υπάρχει κάτι να ενεργοποιήσεις .Αυτά είναι για τώρα και μετά αν ξέρουμε ότι δεν λείπει τίποτα μπορούμε να δούμε αν κάτι δεν λειτουργεί και τότε θα βρούμε την λύση.
