Δεν αναγνωρίζεται ο εξ. σκληρός

Καλησπέρα, αγόρασα έναν επιπλέον εξωτερικό σκληρό δίσκο, τον apacer ac601, λόγω της επιπλέον σύνδεσης esata που έχει-πλην του usb2. Το πρόβλημα είναι ότι δεν αναγνωρίζεται ούτε ως usb connected ούτε ως esata connected. Τι μπορώ να κάνω για αυτό;

Κανονικά τα βλέπει τα usb κ τo debian και το ubuntu(kxstudio). Ο άλλος ο εξ. σκληρός που έχω λειτουργεί κανονικατα.
