webcam σταμάτησε να δουλεύει

Ξαφνικά σταμάτησε να δουλεύει η webcam στο desktop.

Δεν έχω εικόνα στο skype. Στο cheese, όχι μόνο δεν έχω εικόνα, αλλά οι περισσότερες επιλογές του είναι απενεργοποιημένες. Φαντάζομαι ότι οφείλεται σε κάποιο update.

Είναι μία παλιά CRYPTO webcam. Ψάχνοντας έκανα κάποια διαγνωστικά, αλλά μάλλον η κάμερα δε φαίνεται πουθενά. Έχω ένα USB hub το οποίο πρέπει να φαίνεται στα διαγνωστικά:

Βάλε την κάμερα απ' ευθείας στο pc, όχι στο hub.

Σε άλλο πυρήνα μπαίνουμε από το GNU-startup, θυμάμαι καλά?

Δοκίμασε την κάμερα και σε ένα άλλο pc. Μπορεί να χάλασε.

Την έβαλα σε άλλο USB port του desktop και με άλλο πυρήνα. Τα ίδια.

Την έβαλα στο laptop (το οποίο έχει ενσωματωμένη κάμερα). Το laptop απλά χρησιμοποίησε την ενσωματωμένη κάμερα. Στο cheese δε με άφησε να αλλάξω device.

Δεν έχω άλλο Pc πρόχειρο εδώ.

Σύνδεσε την κάμερα και μετά σε τερματικό δώσε την εντολή dmesg.
Πόσταρε το αποτέλεσμα να δούμε μήπως δίνει πληροφορίες.
