mouse δεν κινεί τον κέρσορα αλλά τα κουμπια δουλεύουν

Γειά σας. Έχω ένα sweex usb laser mouse, το οποίο οταν το συνδέσω στον υπολογιστή μου, παρόλο που κινώ το ποντίκι ο pointer δεν μετακινείται. Το παράξενο είναι ότι τα υπόλοιπα κουμπιά του (δεξί,αριστερό κλικ, ροδελάκι) δουλεύον μια χαρά. Το καλό είναι ότι έχω φορητό και μπορώ και κανω την δουλειά μου. Με lsusb παίρνω:

To ποντίκι είναι η 4η εγγραφή.

Κοίταξα στο xorg.conf και δεν έχει section για input device όπως είχε το xorg.conf πιο παλιών εκδόσεων του Ubuntu. Χρησιμοποιώ την έκδοση 9.04

2. Είναι εγκατεστημένο το xserver-xorg-input-mouse?
3. Πήγαινε στις ρυθμίσεις του ποντικιου και κοίτα την ευαισθησία.

Ναί δεν έχω κανένα πρόβλημα με την επιφάνεα. Το πακέτο xserver-xorg-input-mouse είναι ήδη εγκατεστημένο. Έχω αλλάξει την ευαισθησία αλλά πάλι τίποτα..
