Σφάλμα κατά την αντιγραφή Input/Output error

Πρόσφατα έκανα εγκατάσταση UBUNTU 10.4 αλλά το πρόβλημα που θα περιγράψω το είχα και με την έκδοση 9.04.
Έχω ένα εξωτερικό δίσκο Seagate 1terra usb2 και πάρα πολλές φορές όταν κάνω αντιγραφή αρχείων σε USB STICK(έχω 3) μου πετάει το εξής μήνυμα λάθους http://img26.imageshack.us/i/screenshotln.png/
Έχω ψάξει στην Κοινότητα αλλά δεν έχω βρει κάτι.

Ο εξωτερικός σκληρός αν αυτό ρωτάς είναι 1terra και το format ext2
