ψάχνω Πρόγραμμα Διαχείρισης Βάσης Δεδομένων sql αντίστοιχο του navicat, καμία ιδέα?

phpmyadmin και mysqlworkbench τα εχεις δοκιμάσει;

καλησπέρα,
έχω μικρό πρόβλημα με το phpmyadmin.
έκανα μία μικρή αναζήτηση στο forum για λύση, είδα οδηγούς, κάνα-δύο βιντεάκια στο youtube για την εγκατάσταση, αλλά λύση δεν βρήκα και είπα να επαναφέρω το παρόν θέμα.

βασικά δεν μπορώ να καταλάβω αν το πρόβλημα το συναντώ με το phpmyadmin ή με την πρόσβαση στο localhost.

είχα εγκαταστήσει παλαιότερα (πριν ένα χρόνο) το phpmyadmin για να μπορώ εύκολα να διαχειρίζομαι μία βάση δεδομένων που έγγραφα εκείνο τον καιρό.
δεν ξέρω αν έχει σημασία, αλλά τότε χρησιμοποιούσα το chrome ως browser, το phpmyadmin το είχα αποθηκευμένο στους σελιδοδείκτες μου για να το βρίσκω εύκολα και δούλευα κανονικά.
τελειώνοντας με εκείνη την δουλεία θεώρησα ότι δεν πρόκειται να μου ξαναχρειαστεί κάποιο εργαλείο σαν το phpmyadmin για να διαχειρίζομαι βάσεις και το έσβησα από τους σελιδοδείκτες μου.
αργότερα πάλι αποφάσισα ότι το chrome δεν μου έκανε και πλέον το έχω αλλάξει browser σε firefox.

τώρα, μετά από καιρό, εμφανίστηκε πάλι η ανάγκη διαχείρισης μίας νέας βάσης και χρήσης του phpmyadmin.
ανοίγω μία καινούργια καρτέλα του firefox, δίνω διεύθυνση http://localhost/phpmyadmin και μου εμφανίζει:
Unable to connect. Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost.

πάω απλά να συνδεθώ στο http://localhost/ και μου βγάζει πάλι το παραπάνω μήνυμα.

το phpmyadmin βλέπω από το Ubuntu software center ότι το έχω εγκατεστημένο.

προσπαθώ και με βάση αυτό https://help.ubuntu.com/community/phpMyAdmin να δω τι παίζει με το phpmyadmin.
όταν κάνω

άλλα όταν το βάζω το apache να κάνει restart με την εντολή

έχει σχέση με το τελευταίο μήνυμα, δηλαδή μπορεί να μου λείπει το /etc/apache2/httpd.conf το οποίο να το χρειάζεται κάπου?
καμία ιδέα τουλάχιστον ως προς το που να ψάξω και τι να κοιτάξω...???

Αυτό το μήνυμα, σου λέει ότι δεν υπάρχει το httpd.conf ή ότι ο apache2 δεν έχει δικαίωμα ανάγνωσης στο συγκεκριμένο αρχείο ρυθμίσεων.

Η πρότασή μου είναι παρεμφερής με του pc_magas:

Επίσης ρίξε μια ματιά στο αρχείο καταγραφών του apache2.

όπως είπα και παραπάνω δεν μπορώ να καταλάβω αν το πρόβλημα υπάρχει στο phpmyadmin ή στην σύνδεση με το localhost...

όπως μου είπε ο pc_magas (αντί να το αφαιρέσω) βάζοντας ένα # στην αρχή της συγκεκριμένης σειράς.
