Το λέει το ίδιο το μήνυμα. Η μνήμη eeprom είναι βασικό χαρακτηριστικό σε τέτοιες κάρτες, εκεί φορτώνετε το firmware της συσκευής. Αν δεν έχει βρει την eeprom κάτι κακό συμβαίνει.

Δεν με κατάλαβες, το firmware είναι κομμάτι του driver σε αυτές τις συσκευές. Με τον driver φορτώνετε το firmware στην μνήμη eeprom της κάρτας.
Για αυτό υποθέτω ότι μπορεί να έχει πρόβλημα η κάρτα γιατί δεν βρίσκει eeprom. Μπορεί να φταίει και ο driver να ψάχνει να βρει την eeprom σε άλλο σημείο από ότι είναι.

Δοκίμασε την κάρτα και σε windows αφού έχεις dual boot. Τουλάχιστο να τσεκάρουμε το ενδεχόμενο βλάβης υλικού.

Βρήκα ένα Launchpad bug: #128902 αρχαίο. Το οποίο όμως δεν λύθηκε . Στα τελευταία σχόλια γράφει πως επηρεάζει και την 10.04. Εκεί έκλεισε (έληξε) κιόλας. Βέβαια το μήνυμα λάθους στο bug ήταν
