Το πρόβλημα τώρα.
Στον προβολέα μου υπάρχει συνδεδεμένο ένα pc δεκαετίας περίπου, το οποίο μέχρι πρότινος έτρεχε windows xp και χρησιμοποιείτο αποκλειστικά για την αναπαραγωγή ταινιών, dvd, avi κλπ.
Στο εν λόγω pc η παραπάνω onboard κάρτα ήχου έχει ενσωματωμένη ψηφιακή έξοδο spdif (ομοαξονική), την οποία και χρησιμοποιώ για να στέλνω τον ήχο σε εξωτερικό πολυκάναλο ψηφιακό ενισχυτή.
Αφού πλέον τα windows τα έπαιξαν εντελώς (και βαριόμουν τραγικά να περνάω όλους τους codecs και τα εξωτερικά εργαλεία post-proccessing από την αρχή), αποφάσισα να του βάλω τη 12.04.2.
Από την ψηφιακή έξοδο όμως μπορώ να πάρω μόνο δικάναλο ήχο, ακόμα και εάν από το πρόγραμμα αναπαραγωγής, smplayer ή vlc, επιλέξω να αποστέλλεται κατευθείαν το ac3 ή dts stream στην ψηφιακή έξοδο, χωρίς επεξεργασία.
Για να είμαι πιο ακριβής ορίζοντας τα αμέσως παραπάνω στο πρόγραμμα αναπαραγωγής δεν έχει καθόλου ήχο, και δε φαίνεται να έρχεται οποιαδήποτε πληροφορία. Αν δεν τσεκάρω την απευθείας αποστολή των streams στην ψηφιακή έξοδο έχω δικάναλο pcm ήχο.
Στις ρυθμίσεις ήχου, όταν επιλέγω την spdif μου εμφανίζει επιλογή test sound, μόνο για τα δύο front κανάλια.
Αλλάζοντας στο /etc/pulse/daemon.conf την τιμή default-sample-channels = 2 και κάνοντάς την =6, στις ρυθμίσεις ήχου εμφανίστηκαν επιλογές για surround και sub (όχι όμως για center), οι οποίες όμως είναι γκριζαρισμένες-ανενεργές.
Στο alsamixer τώρα μου έχεις τις εξής επιλογές :
S/PDIF, η οποία είναι στο 00 και δεν αλλάζει.
S/PDIF P, η οποία έχει τις επιλογές PCM (η μόνη που δίνει ήχο), Analog I (η οποία προφανώς δεν ενδιαφέρει και ούτως ή άλλως δεν κάνει κάτι) και IEC958 I, η οποία επίσης δεν δίνει κανένα ήχο. Στο διπλανό tab ομοίως αναφέρεται S/PDIF P το οποίο είναι στο 100%.
Τέλος υπάρχει ένα tab, external amplifier, το οποίο είναι στο 00 και ομοίως δε με αφήνει να το πειράξω.
Περιληπτικώς λοιπόν από την ψηφιακή έξοδο μόνο δικάναλο PCM ήχο έχω καταφέρει να πάρω.
Ελπίζω να βγάλουμε άκρη, διότι είναι λίγο εκνευριστικό να ακούς πηγή dts το πολύ-πολύ με απλό prologic (πριν μια εικοσαετία καλό ήταν).
