Καταρχήν αν το θέμα δεν ειναι στο σωστό μέρος παρακαλώ μετακινήστε το.

Στο 8.04 για ενεργοποιήσω τις υπερυθρες είχα ακόλουθήσει αυτο http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=963796&highlight=irda και δουλεψαν. Αναβαθμιζοντας σε 8.10 είδα ότι παλι κινητο - Η/Υ δεν επικοινωνούσαν μέσω IR.Δοκίμασα τους οδηγούς https://help.ubuntu.com/community/IrdaHowto και http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=963796&highlight=irda αλλά αυτή την φορά δεν δούλεψαν. Ειδικότερα συμβαίνει το εξής:

Ναι, φίλε μου, το ακολούθησα από την πρώτη στιγμή (το γράφω και στην αρχή ;) ) και το επανέλαβα κάμποσες φορές κανοντας απεγκατάσταση τα πακέτα και εκ νέου εγκατάσταση. Αυτό που παρατήρησα είναι ότι όταν ακόλουθήσω των οδηγό έχοντας εγκατεστημενο το setserial δεν έχει δραστηριότητα σε irdadump. Αν ακολουθήσω αυτό:http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=963796&highlight=irda (χωρις setserial εγκατεστημένο αλλά με openobex apps) τότε έχει δραστηριότητα σε irdadump αλλά δεν βλεπει το κινητό (IrLMP: Discovery log ΚΕΝΟ).

Λοιπόν το πρόβλημα λύθηκε: Εκανα reinstall irda-utils, setserıal και openobex apps και ακολούθησα τον https://help.ubuntu.com/community/IrdaHowto. Στον φάκελο /etc/modprobe.d/irda-utils παρατήρησα ότι τα

Κώδικας: Επιλογή όλων
alias irda0 nsc-ircc
options nsc-ircc dongle_id=0x09


ήταν ανάποδα (η alias κάτω και η πάνω) και αυτό ήταν η μόνη διαφοροποίηση. Τα υπόλοιπα ήταν όπως τα είχα ρυθμίσει από τις προηγούμενες προσπαθειες συμφώνως του οδηγού.
