Off topic:
Μπραβο για τις γνωσεις σου και για οτι κανεις στην προσωπικη σου ζωη, προσωπικα ομως δεν με ενδιφερει.
Αν διαβασεις απο την αρχη το θεμα που εχεις ανοιξει, δεν ειπα κατι απο μονος μου που δεν ειπες εσυ,
σε αυτα που εγραψες, απαντησα, μονος σου ειπες οτι δεν θελεις να κατσεις να ψαξεις για το προβλημα σου.
Τωρα, το ποσο ασφαλες ειναι το Ubuntu, ισως και να μην ειναι και καθολου με βαση τις γνωσεις που εχεις εσυ, σε αυτο δεν ειμαι και ο πιο αρμοδιος να σου απαντησω, γιατι θα ειναι απλα σαν μια αποψη δικη μου, κανε μια αναζητηση και θα καταλαβεις και απο μονος σου το ποσο ασφαλες ειναι, και αν ειναι! Το προβλημα ειναι ομως οτι τα βλεπεις κακοπροερετα, δεν νομιζω να σου ειπα να αλλαξεις την καρτα σου, ουτε επειδη πιστευω οτι εισαι "χαζος" ουτε τιποτα απο ολα αυτα που ειπες. Σου την προτεινα γιατι απο μονος σου ειπες οτι δεν εισαι και πολυ προθυμος να κατσεις να φτιαξεις το προβλημα, οποτε δεν μπορεσα να σκεφτω καποια πιο ευκολη λυση, αν θελεις να κρατησεις το Ubuntu.

Λοιπόν φίλε μου mangelasakis έχω να σου προτίνω το εξής.
Χώρισε τον σκληρό σου στα 2 και κάνε εγκατάσταση των windows και του Ubuntu. Έτσι θα μπορείς να κάνεις την δουλειά σου άνετα και ταυτόχρονα να πειραματίζεσαι στo ubuntu μέχρι να βρεις λύση για τις κάρτες σου. Να περάσεις και αυτό το NdisWrapper που σου έχουν προτίνει και να είσαι οκ. ;)

Επίσης θα ήθελα να σας παρακαλέσω να σταματήσετε την διαμάχη μεταξύ σας γιατί όσο να πει κανείς καταντάει λίγο κουραστική. Αλλοιώς να αλλαχτεί και ο τίτλος του θέματος σε κάτι του στυλ "Διαφωνία του Α με τον Β".

Off topic:
vagrale13 δεν βλέπω τίποτα κακοπροέρετα και ειδικά το ubuntu. Απλά εγώ δεν έχω ασχοληθεί αρκετά και δεν γνώρίζω κάποια πράγματα που γνώρίζεται εσείς και επομένως εγώ για να φτιάξω κάτι θα πρέπει να ασχοληθώ ίσως τον διπλάσιο και τριπλάσιο χρόνο από ότι εσείς. Και σκοπός όσων είπα ήταν να σταματήσετε να τα βλέπετε όλα ωραία και όμορφα και να προσπαθήσουμε να διορθώσουμε σιγά σιγά τα προβλήματα που υπάρχουν στο ίδιο το λειτουργικό και όχι στην ιδέα του ελεύθερου λογισμικού...

θα καθίσω να ασχοληθώ μόλις βρώ χρόνο και θα σας ενημερώσω για νεότερα....

Για να τελειώνει η διαμάχη. Φίλε mangelasakis, λέγοντας πως δεν μας ενδιαφέρει το αποδίδω ως προς το, δε χρειάζεται να απολογείσαι γιατί αγόρασες το VAIO και όχι το Dell Studio ή το Toshiba Tecra ή το Pontium2000.

Είσαι σε μια κατηγορία, δυστυχώς, που η διανομή - out of the box - δε μπορεί να διαχειριστεί την κάρτα δικτύου σου.

Το NdisWrapper χρησιμοποιεί τον driver των Windows XP για να λειτουργήσει η συσκευή σου. Κατα 90% έχει λυθεί το πρόβλημα.

Αν ο πυρήνας που έχεις δε λειτουργεί μπορείς να βάλεις άλλον.

Χαρά μας είναι να βοηθάμε. Χαρά επίσης είναι του Linux-ά να φέρνει το μηχάνημα στα μέτρα του.

Αν έχουμε ανοίξει κώδικα;
Σα να ρωτάς τον Σουμάχερ αν έχει ανοίξει τον κινητήρα απο το μονοθέσιο του. Το οτι γνωρίζει να το οδηγάει καλά δε σημαίνει πως είναι και μηχανικός. Παρ' αυτά μπορεί να δώσει οδηγίες στους μηχανικούς για να το βελτιώσουν αυτοί.
Τουτέστιν, όσοι ασχολούνται με το ΕΛ/ΛΑΚ δεν είναι απαραίτητα Προγραμματιστές Πυρήνα. Υπάρχου "δικτυάδες", Intergrators, "Hardware-άδες ", "καρφωτές", ψυχολόγοι, γιατροί, μάγειροι, λουστραδόροι, τορναδόροι, κορδελιάστρες, κοπτοράπτρες, συνταξιούχοι... και άλλοι πολλοί! Πλουραλισμός σε όλου το μεγαλείο.
Άρα δεν είναι όλοι ειδικοί για να ανοίξουν τον κώδικα και να αποσφαλματώσουν. Θα πάθεις όμως πλάκα αν δεις τον συνταξιούχο να ανοίγει το log file και να σου λέει πως εκεί έχω πρόβλημα.

Αυτό δεν υπάρχει έμφυτο. Το μαθαίνεις με τον καιρό, Γι' αυτό σου είπα κάνε υπομονή. Ψάχνεις, μαθαίνεις, ρωτάς, μαθαίνεις, βοηθάς, μαθαίνεις. ;)

λοιπον παιδιά εγώ δεν αναφέρω τίποτα ξανά για να λήξει το θέμα... Συγνώμη αν πρόσβαλα κάποιον δεν το έκανα σκοπίμως απλά είχα και εγώ τα νεύρα μου και έπρεπε κάπου να ξεσπάσω...

Λοιπόν το link που μου δίνει ο vagrale13 https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiD%20...%20diswrapper αναφέρετε σε wireless κάρτα δικτύου (όπως έχω αναφέρει και πιο πρίν το wireless δεν έχει πρόβλημα. Wireless μπορώ να συνδεθώ κανονικά ,ενσύρματα δεν μπορώ) οπότε κάποια βήματα που αναφέρει για να βάλω σε blacklist κάποια αρχεία τα παρέληψα γιατί δεν ξέρω ποια είναι τα αντίστοιχα αρχεία για την κάρτα δικτύου αλλά από την στιγμή που δεν υπάρχει ήδη εγκατεστημένος driver πιστεύω δεν χρειάζετε αυτό το βήμα... Έκανα κανονικά τα υπόλοιπα βήματα και με την εντολή

για να ελέγξω αν έχει γίνει κανονικά install μου πετάει invalid driver. Δεν ξέρω τι άλλο να κάνω...

λοιπόν τελικά μετά από πολλές δοκιμές βρήκα τον κατάλληλο driver της marvell τον οποίο και δέχτηκε...
