Προβλημα συνδεσης με wifi eduroam

Δοκίμασα με 12.04 αλλά δεν αναγνώρισε την κάρτα δικτύου wifi. Έγραφε firmware is missing. Δεν μπόρεσα να το ενεργοποιήσω γιατί έχω μόνο σύνδεση wifi.
Υπάρχει περίπτωση να αλλάξω την κάρτα με intel ?

Πρέπει να λέει το όνομα του αρχείου του firmware που θέλει. Και απλά το προσθέτεις.
Από την εντολή dmesg θα αναφέρει τι firmware θέλει.

Προς το παρόν έβαλα lubuntu (υπομονή ). Θα περιμένω να βγει η σταθερή έκδοση του ubuntu 12.04 και μετά θα το ξαναπροσπαθήσω.
Επίσης το ίδιο πρόβλημα ζω στο κινητό μου (Galaxy S - Android), έκδοση πυρήνα 2.6.35.14.

Κάνε αυτό που ζήτησα παραπάνω. Αν προλάβεις, θα είμαστε σε θέση να μπει η διόρθωση στο τελικό 12.04 που θα βγει τον Απρίλιο, οπότε όταν θα βάλεις την έκδοση θα δουλεύει απροβλημάτιστα, σε σένα και τον καθένα με την ίδια κάρτα ασύρματου δικτύου!

Ξανά επισυνάπτω τα αποτελέσματα από dmesg. Επίσης παρατηρώ ότι το Internet είναι πολύ αργό στο Ubuntu 12.04. Δεν ξέρω τι φταίει (απενεργοποίησα το IPV6). Είναι ακόμα alpha έκδοση βέβαια λογικό είναι να υπάρχουν προβλήματα. To πρόβλημα παραμένει με την κάρτα ασύρματου δικτύου.

Από ότι βλέπω πρέπει στις ρυθμίσεις να επιλεγεί :

Ασφάλεια ασύρματου δικτύου -> Ασφάλεια -> WPA & WPA2 Enterprise -> Πιστοποίηση -> Προστατευμένο EAP (PEAP)

να περαστούν τα πιστοποιητικά του ιδρύματος και το user login.

Η όλη διαδικασία καλό είναι να γίνει αφού πρώτα βεβαιωθείτε ότι η ασύρματη κάρτα σας λειτουργεί σωστά και μπορεί να συνδεθεί σε ένα οικιακό δίκτυο. Έτσι ώστε να γνωρίζετε αν οφείλονται οι ρυθμίσεις για το eduroam ή το λειτουργικό και η κάρτα σας για την προβληματική σύνδεση.

Την διαδικασία πιστοποίησης την ακολουθώ όπως πρέπει. Έχω desktop με ubuntu 11.10 x64 (atheros wireless) από αυτό συνδέομαι κανονικά χωρίς κανένα πρόβλημα. Επίσης έχω φίλο με laptop (intel wireless - mint 9) που συνδέεται κανονικά.
