Αδυναμια συνδεσης με το gnome ppp

Αυτη τη στιγμη συνδεομαι μεσω τερματικου με συνδεση wvdial και με μοντεμ 56k. Ομως οταν χρησιμοποιω το προγραμμα gnome ppp το μοντεμ καλει κανονικα ομως δε συνδεομαι ενω το παραθυρο πληροφοριων γραφει τα ακολουθα:

Τι πρεπει να κανω για να διορθωσω το προγραμμα; Εχω ubuntu 9.10.

Δοκίμασε να εκκινήσεις το gnome-ppp από το τερματικό με την εντολή

Κώδικας: Επιλογή όλων

sudo gnome-ppp

αν δουλέψει, θα βρούμε λύση με τα δικαιώματα...

Γειά σου Stratisp,
επιπλέον έλεγξε ότι είναι μαρκαρισμένο το:

Gnome-ppp > Setup > Options tab > Ignore terminal strings (stupid mode)

Το προβλημα λυθηκε εφαρμοζοντας την ενατη οδηγια οπως μου υποδειχθηκε:
go to System administration then users & groups, click on Unlock and authenticate with your password.
Select the user Account and hit the properties button after that select the user privileges tab and check the correct box for "connect to the Internet using a modem".
REBOOT the computer and it will take effect enabling dial up to work.
