"Εξαφανιση" kernel στο menu grub

Λοιπον παιδια ευχαριστω πολυ για την βοηθεια σας μου εβγαλε στον grub την εκδοση 2.6.28-13-generic αλλα δεν εχει to recovery mode του kernel.Εδωσα στο τερματικο uname -r μου εβγαλε την νεα εκδοση.Πως διορθωνεται αυτο για το recovery?

Στον φάκελο ./boot υπάρχουν ο παλαιότερος πυρήνας. Όμως δεν είχα κρατήσει αντίγραφο όταν είχα διαγράψει την επιλογή για boot με τον παλιό πυρήνα. Πως μπορώ να βρώ τι πρέπει να προσθέσω στο menu.lst για να κάνω boot με τον προηγούμενο πυρήνα ; ( από γκάφα σε γκάφα το πάω που δεν κρατάω αντίγραφα )
