Νέος σκληρός - Grub error 17 [ΕΠΙΛΥΘΗΚΕ]

Μέχρι τώρα είχα δυο sata σκληρούς. Ένα με windows και ένα με ubuntu. Πήγα να προσθέσω ένα παλιό IDE που έχω, όμως κατά την εκκίνηση o grub έβγαλε error 17. Προσπάθησα να επανεγκαταστήσω τον grub μέσω live cd αλλά και πάλι τίποτα. Τώρα εχω αποσυνδέσει το νέο σκληρό και το grub λειτουργεί κανονικά. Έχετε καμια ιδέα πως να το φτιαξω;

Πως τον έχεις συνδέσει ; τον έχεις κάνει να είναι slave η είναι master , τσαμπεράκη πρέπει να βάλεις λογικά , και εάν των συνέδεσες με το CD/DVD-RW στο ίδιο καλώδιο η ξεχωριστά ;

Στην αρχή slave, μετά δοκίμασα και master. Με ξεχωριστό καλώδι τον συνέδεσα. Παίζει ρόλο σε ποια υποδοχή τον συνέδεσα;
Αυτό που παρατήρησα όταν προσπάθησα να εγκαταστήσω το grub είναι ότι όταν έχω συνδεδεμένο το σκληρό η εντολή find /boot/grub/stage μου δίνει hd(2,0)
ενώ άμα τον αποσυνδέσω μου βγάζει hd(1,0)

αυτό μου έχει συμβεί και εμένα αρκετές φορές όταν προσθέτω δίσκο.
για κάποιο λόγο όπως παρατήρησες και εσύ πιο πάνω, αλλάζει η σειρά των δίσκων όταν προστίθεται ένας νέος.
δεν ξέρω αν φταίει το BIOS ή το grub αλλά διορθώνεται έυκολα.
διάβασε λίγο αυτό το θέμα viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1244
που είναι παρόμοιο με αυτό που περιγράφεις.
αν βάλεις μόνιμα τον δίσκο κάνε repair το grub, αν όχι δες το μύνημά μου για το πως να μπεις προσωρινά όταν σου βγάζει το error. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1244#p11670

Προσπάθησα να κάνω αυτό που είπες όμως δε μου δίνει δυνατότητα να πατήσω τίποτα. Δεν εμφανίζονται ούτε οι επιλογές του grub.

Αυτό μου εμφανίζει και δε μπορώ να κάνω τίποτα.
Άλλαξα όμως τη σειρά των sata και έβαλα το ubuntu πρώτο. Επιτέλους εμφανίστηκε το grub και με τους τρείς σκληρούς συνδεδεμένους. Έκανα ένα edit [από hd(1,0) σε hd(0,0)]και κατάφερα να το ανοίξω. Αφού άνοιξε το λειτουργικό, άνοιξα το /boot/grub/menu.lst και έβαλα για το ubuntu hd(0,0) και τώρα λειτουργεί μια χαρά. Άλλαξα των windows από hd(0,0) σε hd(1,0) ή hd(2,0) και δεν ανοίγει όμως. Μένει σε μια εικόνα που λέει starting up... και δεν ανταποκρίνεται.

πιθανόν για να δουλέψουν τα windows να χρειαστεί να ρυθμίσεις το map στο grub

Απο το bios βάλε να boot-αρι πρώτα ο σκλιρός με ubuntu, κάνε εγγατάσταση το QGRUBEditor. κάνε τις ρυθμίσεις που θέλεις και πήγαινε /boot/grub
και άνοιξε το menu/lst. κατο κατο θα δεις:

chainloader +1
makeactive

κάτο απο τη γραμμή root πρόσθεσε αυτές τις 2 γραμμές:

map (hd0) (hd1)
map (hd1) (hd0)

δλδ θα γίνει ώπος το παρακάτω.

στο qgrubeditor μπορείς να ρυθμίσεις τον χρόνο που θα κάνει η εκκίνηση ενός λειτουργικού, ώπος μπορείς να ρυθμίσεις και ποιό λειτουργικό που θέλεις να ξεκινάει πρώτο. το λινκ θα σε βοηθισει να καταλαβεις πος δουλευει το πρόγραμμα.http://www.ubuntugeek.com/qgrubeditor-a-visual-grub-configuration-editor.html.

Άσχετο αλλά ο προγραμματιστής του είναι Έλληνας.
