Για να δώσω άλλο ένα στοιχείο, το fedora 13 beta που έχει την ίδια έκδοση πυρήνα (2.6.32) τερματίζει κανονικά. Άρα το bug έχει να κάνει με το ubuntu...

α) Δοκιμασε ετσι

shutdown -h -P now

β) κανε logout και δοκιμασε μετα να κλεισεις τον υπολογιστη, και δες αν κλεινει.

γ) επανεκκινηση μπορεις να κανεις, ή εχεις και εκει προβλημα?

δ) Κλεισε τον υπολογιστη με τον τροπο που τον κλεινεις, μετα ανοιξε τον,
και μολις θα μπεις εκτελεσε τις εντολες

Τι έκδοση bios έχεις ;

Από ότι βλέπω έχεις bios έκδοση 1.05 και έχει βγεί 1.08 κάνε μια αναβάθμιση, μπορεί να λύσει κάποια προβλήματα.

Όσο λιγότερο κλειστό λογισμικό έχεις, τόσα λιγότερα προβλήματα.

Δε μπορώ να κάνω αναβάθμιση. Δεν έχει κάποια επιλογή στην έναρξη, ούτε κάποια εφαρμογή στα Windows, ούτε μπόρεσα να βρώ κάποιο τρόπο να κάνω update.
Από τη σελίδα της ACER βρήκα το αντίστοιχο update αλλά όταν τρέξω το BIOS.dat όπως λένε οι οδηγίες, πετάει σφάλμα...

Και στο κάτω-κάτω πρόβλημα του ubuntu είναι...Το fedora τερματίζει κανονικά. Γιατί να παίζω με κάτι που δεν ξέρω..?

Δοκιμασε με την RC, και δες αν απο το livecd μπορει να κλεισει κανονικα ο υπολογιστης σου!
