Aφού ανοίξεις τον υπολογιστή και δοκιμάσεις να κάνεις login από το γραφικό περιβάλλον (που θα σε πετάξει ξανά στην οθόνη εισόδου), μπορείς με τον ίδιο τρόπο που είπε ο the_eye να δώσεις τα αποτελέσματα των εντολών παρακάτω από την κονσόλα;

sudo apt-get -s purge lightdm

Πρόσεξε στην δεύτερη εντολή την παράμετρο -s η οποία είναι σημαντική, μην την ξεχάσεις. Θέλουμε να δούμε μία προσομοίωση της διαδικασίας αφαίρεσης του LightDM πριν επιχειρήσουμε να τον αφαιρέσουμε.
Αφού δημοσιεύσεις τα αποτελέσματα, τότε στην κονσόλα εκτέλεσε:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure lightdm

Και στη συνέχεια κάνε επανεκκίνηση (sudo reboot) και δες αν υπάρχει ακόμα το πρόβλημα.
Αν ναι, τότε συνεχίζουμε βάσει των αποτελεσμάτων των δύο πρώτων εντολών.

Είχες επιχειρήσει παλιότερα να κάνεις login από το γραφικό περιβάλλον ή να χρησιμοποιήσεις το γραφικό περιβάλλον ως υπερχρήστης (root);

Aν το παραπάνω (sudo dpkg-reconfigure lightdm) δεν λειτουργήσει, δοκίμασε στην κονσόλα:

rm ~/.Xauthority
sudo reboot

Και δες αν μετά την επανεκκίνηση γίνεται κανονικά login.

Αν δεν λειτουργήσει ούτε το παραπάνω, τότε δημιούργησε νέο χρήστη με τις εντολές:

sudo adduser testuser

Θα σου ζητηθεί να βάλεις έναν κωδικό για τον νέο χρήστη και να τον επαληθεύσεις πληκτρολογώντας τον δύο φορές. Άσε τις υπόλοιπες πληροφορίες (όνομα κλπ) κενές, πατώντας ENTER κάθε φορά.
Στη συνέχεια:

sudo adduser testuser
sudo reboot

Δες αν μετά την επανεκκίνηση μπορείς να συνδεθείς με τον νέο χρήστη "testuser".

Δοκίμασες να διαγράψεις το ~/.Xauthority και δεν λειτούργησε;

Σωστά, καλή παρατήρηση.
Αφού τώρα έχεις και τον testuser και μπορείς να συνδεθείς με αυτόν, μπορείς να κάνεις σύγκριση των δικαιωμάτων.
Αν συνδεθείς στο γραφικό περιβάλλον ως testuser, μπορείς να ανοίξεις δύο τερματικά, το ένα το αφήνεις ως έχει και στο άλλο εκτελείς:

cd ~

Όπου username βάζεις το username του κανονικού χρήστη που αντιμετωπίζει το πρόβλημα και δίνεις τον κωδικό του.
Στην συνέχεια, με ls -al και στα δύο τερματικά μπορείς να δεις σε ποια αρχεία υπάρχουν διαφορετικά δικαιώματα στον έναν χρήστη και στον άλλον.
Γιατί έτσι και αλλιώς το πρόβλημα πιθανότατα είναι αποτέλεσμα λανθασμένων ρυθμίσεων στα δικαιώματα.
Δώσε και το αποτέλεσμα:

Και ναι το dbus πρέπει να είναι στον user.Δεν έχει καμια σχέση που έιναι στον test ε? Το λέω γιατί δεν έχει δικαιώματα.
Μήπως να τον βάλω στους sudoers η κάτι τέτοιο ?

Στο τερματικό από τον main user, εκτέλεσε:

Προσοχή μόνο, να είσαι στο ~ του main user και όχι του testuser.
Όπου username βάζεις το username του main user και στην συνέχεια τον κωδικό του.
Κάνε μετά επανεκκίνηση.
