Πρόβλημα με τον Update Manager - Ubuntu 14.04

Για να μην ανοίξω άλλο θέμα θα γράψω εδώ την απορία μου....

είναι πρόβλημα ή το αγνοώ και συνεχίζω;;; Έχω φάει πάνω από 3-4 ώρες αλλά δεν έχω καταφέρει να εξαφανίσω τις τελευταίες σειρές στο apt-get update...

Στη προσπάθειά μου να βρω λύση έσβησα το software & updates (πέρασα κάποιο παρόμοιο που τελικά δεν μου άρεσε κι ευτυχώς μπόρεσα και το επανέφερα), κι επίσης είχα εξαφανίσει από το software & updates ---> orther software τα πάντα όλα [canonical partners, canonical partners (source code), indipendent (source code)]... και από το νετ βρήκα κάπου τη λίστα και την έκανα copy/paste και μου τα εμφάνισε ξανά με την εντολή

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Κάτι περίεργο έχει συμβεί εδώ με τις αρχιτεκτονικές. Κάπου έχει μπερδευτεί το πράγμα.
Θα πρέπει να δοκιμάσουμε διάφορα. Θα τα έγραφα όλα σε μια απάντηση,
αλλά δεν έχει νόημα αφού είναι καλύτερα να τα ελέγξουμε ένα προς ένα και όχι όλα μαζί.

Έχεις δίκαιο... στις τόσες ώρες που το πάλευα, έδωσα και μια την εντολή:

Η εντολή που έδωσες φαίνεται να είναι για απομάκρυνση όλων των 32bit πακέτων. Δεν είμαι σίγουρος εάν αυτή ευθύνεται για το πρόβλημα που προέκυψε.

Δοκίμασε το παρακάτω

sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* -rf
sudo apt-get update


και δες αν σου επιστρέφει πλέον τα ίδια λάθη.

Νομίζω καμία αλλαγή, αλλά για δες κι εσύ...

Καμία αλλαγή ναι.

Για δοκίμασε να αλλάξεις server.

Στη πρώτη καρτέλα αλλάζεις το Greece σε Main Server.
Έπειτα τρέξε πάλι

sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* -rf
sudo apt-get update


Αν δεν δουλέψει ούτε το παραπάνω, δοκίμασε να απενεργοποιήσεις όλα τα προσωπικά αποθετήρια (PPAs)

sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* -rf
sudo apt-get update


Δοκίμασε επίσης και

Όσο κάνεις τις αναβαθμίσεις σου χωρίς πρόβλημα και όσο μπορείς να κάνεις εγκατάσταση το λογισμικό που θέλεις, κατά τη γνώμη μου είναι εντάξει.

Υποπτεύομαι ότι ίσως να ευθύνονται και τα proposed αποθετήρια που έχεις ενεργοποιήσει. Ίσως κάποιο bug που θα διορθωθεί με κάποια αναβάθμιση;

Ένα workaround το οποίο μάλλον θα δουλέψει είναι να εξαναγκάσεις τον apt να βλέπει μόνον 64bit πακέτα, πειράζοντας τις πηγές λογισμικού.
Αυτό μπορεί να γίνει με τη παρακάτω εντολή (σου ετοίμασα ένα αρχείο).

Αυτή η εντολή θα αντικαταστήσει τις πηγές λογισμικού που έχεις τώρα με εκείνες που περιέχονται στο αρχείο-σύνδεσμο.

Το άλλο το sources.list.d που μεταφέραμε στον κατάλογο σου, διέγραψε το. Εξάλλου ένα PPA είχες ενεργοποιημένο εκεί, σχετικό με java.
Το άλλο του Ubuntu Tweak έχει σταματήσει πλέον (106 εβδομάδες στάσιμο).

Τώρα,
εάν είναι προσωρινό πρόβλημα θα διορθωθεί με κάποια αναβάθμιση.
Όταν προσθέσεις κάποιο PPA (κάποια πηγή λογισμικού δηλαδή) πχ εάν χρειάζεσαι εκείνο με τη Java,
εάν το πρόβλημα εξακολουθεί να υπάρχει, μπορείς να εφαρμόσεις το ίδιο workaround [arch=amd64]. Αμέσως μετά το deb ....
Δες το αρχείο sources.list που σου έδωσα και θα καταλάβεις.
