Dell Inspiron N7110, εκκίνηση με pci=noacpi - Arch Linux.

Αγορασα ενα νεο λαπτοπ και ο μοναδικός τρόπος για να ξεκινήσει ο υπολογιστής είναι κατά την εκκίνηση στο grub να δώσω pci=noacpi. Εχω κάρτα Nvidia με τεχνολογια Optimus και μια δεύτερη Intel intergrated.Για να δουλέψει η Nvidia χρειάζεται το bumblebee με το bbswitch. Δυστυχώς το bumblebee δεν παίζει γιατί κάνω εκκίνηση με pci=noacpi
Πως μπορώ να κάνω εκκίνηση κανονικά χωρίς το pci=noacpi. Γιατι απαιτείται αυτή η παράμετρος; Είναι πρόβλημα με τον πυρήνα του λινουξ ή είναι πρόβλημα με τα dsdt του bios; Επειδή έλεγξα τα dsdt διαπίστωσα ότι έχει πάνω από 200 σφάλματα. Τι φταίει τελικά; Ευχαριστώ, Λεωνίδας.

Κάθε νέα έκδοση του πυρήνα μπορεί να είναι πιο ανθεκτικό σε προβληματικά DSDT.
Αν γενικά υπάρχει πρόβλημα σε DSDT, τότε αναβαθμίζεις το BIOS στην πιο πρόσφατη έκδοση.
Προχωρημένοι χρήστες διορθώνουν το DSDT και εγκαθιστούν το διορθωμένο· ωστόσο θέλει εξαιρετική προσοχή.
Κάτι που είναι καλό να κάνεις ούτως ή άλλως είναι να τα ψάλεις στον κατασκευαστή (ανεξάρτητα αν πούλησε τον υπολογιστή μόνο με Win).

Παρακαλώ άλλαξε τον τίτλο του θέματος σου , κάνοντας επεξεργασία στην αρχική δημοσίευση και προσθέτοντας το όνομα της διανομής . π.χ : Dell Inspiron N7110, εκκίνηση με pci=noacpi - Arch Linux.

Έχω βάλει ήδη την πιο πρόσφατη ενημέρωση του BIOS αλλά το πρόβλημα με τα 200+ erros εξακολουθεί να υπάρχει. Με ενδιαφέρει να γνωρίζω αν η παράμετρος pci=noacpi απαιτείται λόγω προβλήματος στο BIOS ή λόγω πυρήνα. Επίσης αν είναι θέμα Arch είμαι διατεθειμένος να γυρίσω στο ubuntu. Όσο για να τα ψάλλω στην Dell..."στου κουφού την πόρτα όσο θέλεις βρόντα".

Στον πυρήνα υπάρχει κώδικας για την ανάγνωση και ανάλυση του DSDT. Αν το DSDT ακολουθεί τα πρότυπα, τότε ο πυρήνας μπορεί να αντεπεξέλθεί.

Μπορείς να δοκιμάσεις με το Ubuntu 12.10 Beta1. Έχει τα πιο πρόσφατα πακέτα και οδηγούς για κάρτες γραφικών.

Ενδεχομένως όλα αυτά τα objects να ορίζονται σε ξεχωριστό αρχείο, το SSDT:

errors will be generated for an undeclared object. The ASL compiler will create the external object at the
specified place in the namespace (if a full path of the object is specified), or the object will be created at the
current scope of the External term.
External is especially useful for use in secondary SSDTs, when the required scopes and objects are declared
in the main DSDT.
