πρόβλημα με τα thumbnails κατέδειξε σοβαρό θέμα αναβάθμισης

Παιδια καλησπερα σε ολους
Εχω ενα προβλημα με τον nautilus.Δεν εμφανιζει thumbnails για κανενα αρχειο.Εχω 12.04 με αναβαθμιση απο 10.04.Ειχα αρκετα θεματα αλλα πιστευω οτι με μπολικο ψαξιμο τα περισσοτερα τα εχω αποκαταστησει.Αυτο το θεμα το ψαχνω δυο μερες και οτι και να εκανα δεν εχει αποτελεσμα.Πριν παω για καθαρη εγκατασταση ειπα μηπως με την βοηθεια της κοινοτητας μπορουμε να το λυσουμε.Αρα καθε βοηθεια ευπροσδεκτη

κάνε ένα logout και login και τσέκαρε πάλι.

Υπαρχει τροπος να αποκαταστησουμε κατεστραμενα αρχεια στην εγκατασταση?

Η αναβάθμιση από 10.04 σε 12.04 είναι "μανίκι" . Αλλάζουν τόσα πολλά πράγματα , που πολλά μπορεί να πάνε στραβά. Απορώ γιατί η Canonical πρόσφερε ειδικά αυτή την αναβάθμιση. Πάρα πολλά προβλήματα που συναντώ έχουν προκύψει από τέτοια αναβάθμιση.

Υπαρχει τροπος να αποκαταστησουμε κατεστραμενα αρχεια στην εγκατασταση?

Δύσκολο. Δεν το έχω προσπαθήσει ποτέ. Αναλόγως βέβαια για τι αρχεία μιλάμε.

Αν το πρόβλημα σου είναι μόνο τα thumbnails τότε συμφωνώ ότι δεν αξίζει καινούρια εγκατάσταση γι' αυτό μόνο. Οπότε να προσπαθήσουμε να το φτιάξουμε.
Αν όμως έχεις πολλαπλά προβλήματα (είτε μικρά είναι μεγάλα) , τότε θα πρότεινα μια καθαρή εγκατάσταση.

Προσπάθησε να κάνεις και μια επανεγκατάσταση του nautilus.

Τον κώδικα τον βάζουμε μέσα σε [cοde]κώδικας[/cοde]. Επιλέγουμε το κείμενο και πατάμε το κουμπάκι .

Με όλα αυτά τα προβλήματα που έχεις , θες να ασχοληθούμε να τα λύσουμε ή να κάνεις μια καινούρια εγκατάσταση της 12.04 ;

Εγώ πάντως είμαι μέσα.. (αν θες για επίλυση).

Please note, that this tool is a hack which is *not* integrated with
Debian's package management system and therefore is not for the faint
of heart. This program interferes with the Debian package management
and does provoke strange, but usually harmless, behaviour of programs
related with apt/dpkg like dpkg-repack, reportbug, etc.

Χιλια συγνωμη για τον κωδικα,μετα το συνειδητοποιησα.Εχω κανει πολυ ψαξιμο στο web και στην απογνωση μου εχω δωσει εντολες και ισως εβαλα και το προγραμμα που λες, τελος παντων και εγω ειμαι για fix αν εχεις ορεξη αρκει να μην χασω αρχεια

Θα πρέπει να αλλάξεις τον αρχικό σου τίτλο όμως , σε κάτι πιο σχετικό πλέον . Κάνε μια επεξεργασία στο αρχικό ποστ μόνο και γράψε έναν τίτλο π.χ "Προβλήματα μετά από αναβάθμιση 10.04 σε 12.04" ή κάτι τέτοιο.

Αυτό δεν στο εγγυώμαι. Να τα κάνεις αντιγραφή κάπου (backup) όλα τα σημαντικά σου αρχεία.

Αυτό το βλέπω από τα αποτελέσματα της εντολής που έδωσες.

Κοίτα ίσως είναι και χαμένος χρόνος.. δηλαδή να μην καταφέρουμε και πολλά. Το πιο εύκολο θα ήταν backup τα αρχεία σου και εγκατάσταση από την αρχή. 15 λεπτά υπόθεση.
Το φτιάξιμο ίσως πάρει και μέρες.

Αν αποφάσισες να προχωρήσεις με το fix , τότε ξεκίνα πρώτα με backup τα σημαντικά σου αρχεία και μετά ανοίγεις ένα τερματικό και δίνεις τις παρακάτω εντολές με τη σειρά (copy-paste από εδώ στο τερματικό σου , μια-μια)

Νικο τα αρχεια μου ειναι πολλα giga.Δεν θα ειχα κανενα προβλημα για καθαρη εγκατασταση διαφορετικα.Δεν ξερω πραγματικα τι μπορω να κανω.
