Στα παραθύρια υπάρχουν δύο προγράμματα από τα οποία το ένα αφαιρεί προσωπικά στοιχεία από αρχεία .doc ενώ το άλλο αλλάζει το GUID διαφόρων προγραμμάτων. Στο ubuntu υπάρχει κάτι σχετικό;

Doc Scrubber
Microsoft Word (.DOC) files can contain more than just text you see while editing them. Depending on the settings or features you use, they may contain all kinds of additional information that you may not want shared outside your home or company. Doc Scrubber lets you see that information, and scrub it from files before sending them to others.

What does ID-Blaster Plus do?
In Windows, many applications have something called a "product ID number", a "GUID" or a "Unique ID number". This number may be the same throughout Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player - even the operating system itself.

Since this number nevers changes, it would be the PERFECT way a malicious person or even an advertising company could track your habits - perhaps through a malicious website ActiveX control, or Java applet.

Why not just delete it?
In this case, you would have a constant ID of nothing - and given the small number of people that might also have that "null" value, it could still be used to track you.

ID-Blaster Plus works by changing these ID numbers frequently, destroying tracking tactics using these numbers. ID-Blaster can run from the system tray, using very little resources, and constantly protect you in the background.

για το πρώτο μπορείς να ελέγχεις κάθε φορά που ασχολείσαι μέ ένα αρχείο του OpenOffice την ασφάλεια και τις ιδιότητες του αρχείου για τα προσωπικά σου δεδομένα.
μπορείς να πεις στο OO να σε ρωτάει για τις ιδιότητες τους αρχείου κάθε φορά που πας να σώσεις κάτι.
Άνοιξε το spreadsheet -> tools -> options - >Load/Save -> General και "τίκαρε" την επιλογή "Edit document properties before saving"
επίσης έλεγξε στην καρτέλα με τα options και την επιλογή OpenOffice.org -> security -> options μήπως βρεις και εκεί κάτι που να σου φανεί χρήσιμο.

Ευχαριστώ! Βέβαια εγώ χρησιμοποιώ το Abiword επειδή είναι πολύ πιο ελαφρύ αλλά κάποια άκρη θα βρώ
