εγκατάσταση google earth

Τελικά έχω καλομάθει με το synaptic. Θέλω να εγκαταστήσω το googleearth στο 8.04. Μπαίνω στο site κατεβάζω το GoogleEarthLinux.bin . Και τώρα το έχω στην επιφάνεια εργασίας και δεν ξέρω τι να το κάνω.

Πιστεύουμε ότι είναι εξαιρετικά σημαντικό να ενημερώνουμε τα μέλη του φόρουμ, για το ποιες εφαρμογές είναι ιδιοταγείς/κλειστού κώδικα και ποιες είναι καθαρά Ελεύθερο Λογισμικό / Λογισμικό Ανοιχτού Κώδικα (ΕΛ/ΛΑΚ). Για τον λόγο αυτό, τονίζεται ότι το παρόν νήμα, έχει ως θέμα μια εφαρμογή που δεν είναι ΕΛ/ΛΑΚ. http://fsfe.org/

όχι μην το κανεις ετσι, προσθεσε απλώς το medibuntu στα αποθετηρια σου και μετα θα εγκαταστησεις το googleearth κανονικα απο το synaptic οπως κανεις για ολα τα προγραμματα. Δες στους οδηγους του φορουμ για το πως θα ενεργοποιησεις το medibuntu.

Παρά την καθυστέρηση ( είχα πιο επείγοντα θέματα να αντιμετωπίσω ) ακολούθησα τις οδηγίες και εγκατέστησα επιτυχώς το googleearth από το synaptic. Κάθε φορά όμως που το εκτελώ από τις Εφαρμογές ->Διαδίκτυο μαυρίζει η οθόνη και με αποσυνδέει, οπότε πρέπει να δώσω όνομα και κωδικό για να μπω πάλι στο σύστημα.

εγκατεστησες το 4.2 ή το 4.3; οποιο και να εβαλες δοκιμασε και την αλλη δυνατοτητα αφου πρωτα απεγκαταστησεις το πρωτο. Επίσης πες μας τι καρτα γραφικών εχεις, βασει της εντολής

γενικα καλό θα ηταν να βαλεις τα στοιχεια του υπολογιστή σου στην υπογραφή σου για να τα βλεπουμε οι υπολοιποι κατευθειαν. Μπορεις να κοιταξεις τις Oδηγίες προς νεοεισερχόμενους σε forum ή linux

Το googleearth ήταν το 4.2 και λέω ήταν γιατί το απεγκατέστησα από το synaptic. Τέλος πάντων μπορώ να ζήσω χωρίς το googleearth μέχρι να εμφανιστεί κάποια έκδοση που να τρέχει χωρίς προβλήματα. Ευχαριστώ.

και κανει και σε μενα το ιδιο μαυριζει η οθονη
και κανη επανακηνηση τα αποτελεσματα της εντολης

./googleearth-bin: relocation error: /usr/lib/i686/cmov/libssl.so.0.9.8: symbol BIO_test_flags, version OPENSSL_0.9.8 not defined in file libcrypto.so.0.9.8 with link time reference

To fix this, browse to the folder you installed Google Earth into. By default this will be google-earth in your home folder. Find the file libcrypto.so.0.9.8 and rename it to something else, like libcrypto.so.0.9.8.bak. Google Earth should now start correctly.

Να πως να εγκαταστήσετε εύκολα το Google Earth σε Ubuntu:
1. Κατεβάστε (μεταφορτώστε) και σώστε το αρχείο εγκατάστασης Google Earth για Linux.
2. Το αρχείο που κατεβάσατε θα πρέπει να ονομάζεται GoogleEarthLinux.bin. Βρειτε αυτό το αρχείο, κάντε δεξί κλικ πάνω του και επιλέξτε Άνοιγμα 'Αλλη 'Εφαρμογή (Open with Other Application).
3. Κάντε κλικ ώστε επεκταθεί η Χρήση του custom command section (τμήμα custom εντολών) του Open With (Άνοιγμα με) διαλόγου.
4. Το αρχείο εγκατάστασης του Google Earth θα αποσυμπιέσει τον εαυτό του και σε λίγα δευτερόλεπτα θα πρέπει να ανοίξει το παράθυρο εγκατάστασης του Google Earth. Για να το διορθώσετε αυτό, πηγαίνεται στον φάκελο εγκατάστασης του Google Earth. Στις εργοστασιακές ρυθμίσεις, ο φάκελος αυτός θα ονομάζεται google-earth στο φάκελο home. Βρείτε το αρχείο libcrypto.so.0.9.8 και μετονομάστε το σε κάτι άλλο, όπως π.χ. libcrypto.so.0.9.8.bak.
