Στους περισσότερους όχι ,υποθέτω .
Και όμως αυτή η ημερομηνία είναι σημαδιακή για την διανομή μας αλλά και τον κόσμο του Λίνουξ.Στις 20 Οκτώβρη του 2004 "γεννήθηκε" το Ubuntu με την κυκλοφορία της πρώτης διανομής της
4.10 ‘Warty Warthog’.

Το περιβάλλον που έβλεπες ήταν Gnome 2.8
και το MENU
Η πρώτη ανακοίνωση τότε ήταν η παρακάτω :

Η εγκατάσταση δεν απείχε πολύ από αυτά που ξέρουμε και υπήρχαν και τότε οι επιλογές για cd εγκατάστασης αλλά και live cd δοκιμής χωρίς να πειραχτεί κάτι στον υπολογιστή που το δοκίμαζες .

Η διανομή μας είναι αυτή που άνοιξε σε αρκετούς την πόρτα να μπούν στον κόσμο του Λίνουξ .
