Γεια σου και παλι Λεαρνερ ..Διαβασα το ποστ βημα βημα και τα εκανα ολα..Καθαρισαν οι παλιοι πυρηνες...Μονο καποια σφαλματα ειχα στο τερματικο με αυτη την εντολη

Ok, αυτή την μεγάλη εντολή με τους πυρήνες δεν έπρεπε να την τρέξεις αμέσως με -y διότι ίσως προκαλούσε ζημιά. Τυχερός στάθηκες και έκανε αυτό που έπρεπε να κάνει. Καθάρισες και από παλιούς πυρήνες. Με έναν έχεις μείνει, τον τελευταίο/νεότερο.

Εντάξει τότε. Αν πρώτα το δοκίμασες σε simulate mode και είδες ότι δεν προκαλεί κάποιο κακό, τότε εντάξει. Αυτός είναι και ο σωστός τρόπος.

Την είχα πατήσει με αυτή την εντολή προηγουμένως δεν ειδα οτι κανει διαγραφη και τον νεο πυρηνα.

Tο έχω γράψει ήδη ότι είναι επίφοβη.

Τον πυρήνα ο οποίος έχει φορτωθεί (χρησιμοποιείς εκείνη τη στιγμή) δεν μπορεί να τον αφαιρέσει. Θα καταλήξει σε broken package ή κάποιο τέτοιο παρόμοιο error.

Τι ακριβως κανει αυτη η εντολη ?

Δεν είναι μια εντολή, είναι ένα συνονθύλευμα εντολών όπου το αποτέλεσμα της μιας περνά ως είσοδο στην επόμενη. Σκοπός της είναι να αφαιρέσει όλους τους πυρήνες από το σύστημα εκτός αυτόν ο οποίος χρησιμοποιείται εκείνη τη στιγμή. Αυτή τη δουλειά υποτίθεται ότι κάνει η "egrep -v "linux-image-$(uname -r)"
