Σε ένα μηχανάκι με ubuntu 8.10 δεν μπορώ να αποκτήσω πρόσβαση μέσω ssh από οπουδήποτε κι αν προσπαθήσω να συνδεθώ απομακρυσμένα. Όταν το προσπαθώ, τη στιγμή που με προτρέπει να δώσω τον κωδικό για να συνδεθώ, τον βάζω αλλά μου βγάζει το μήνυμα permission denied (public key,password), π.χ.
localuser = τοπικός υπολογιστής με φυσική πρόσβαση
remoteuser = απομακρυσμένος υπολογιστής στον οποίο θέλω να συνδεθώ με ssh

Ακόμα πιο περίεργο είναι ότι όταν δίνω την εντολή

μου ζητάει επίσης τον κωδικό αλλά όταν τον βάζω, συνδέομαι κανονικά.

Αν έχει τύχει σε κάποιον το ίδιο πρόβλημα και το έλυσε ή αν τέσπα κάποιος γνωρίζει τι συμβαίνει, ας μου δώσει τα φώτα του.
ΥΓ: Περιεργάζομαι το θέμα μόνο και μόνο για πειραματισμό πάνω στο ssh και γενικότερα στο linux και δεν το θέλω για κάτι σημαντικό
ΥΓ2: Σύμφωνα με μία σύντομη αναζήτηση στο forum, δεν βρήκα κάτι αντίστοιχο για το πρόβλημά μου ή δεν το πρόσεξα. Ας μου υποδειχτεί το κατάλληλο topic αν έχει ξαναδιατυπωθεί το ίδιο πρόβλημα κι αλλού.
ΥΓ3: Όλες οι εντολές με sudo και γενικότερα όπου χρειάζονται τα δικαιώματα υπερχρήστη, βάζοντας τον ίδιο κωδικό, εκτελούνται κανονικά.
