Πρόβλημα με EDIMAX EW-7318USG στο UBUNU 8.10

καλησπέρα σε όλους.
Είμαι καινούριος στο UBUBTU Forum, και αντιμετωπίζω ένα προβληματάκι. Έχω ένα 8.10 Desktop σε ένα παλιό σχετικά PC, και πήρα μια κάρτα wi fi EDIMAX EW-7318USG, γιατί σε κάποια forums διάβασα ότι το 8.10 έχει έτοιμους drivers γι αυτήν, σχεδόν plug and play.
Πραγματικά, την έβαλα πάνω, την είδε αμέσως, ένανα σύνδεση με το router μου, του έδωσα και το κλειδί, όλα καλά μέχρι δώ, συνδεμένος μου γράφει πάνω δεξιά.
Όταν ανοίγω όμως μια Internetική εφαρμογή, πχ Mozilla, δε συνδέεται με τίποτα.
Καμία εφαρμογή ή εντολή που συνδέεται σο internet δε συνδέεται. ούτε κάν ping δεν μπορώ να κάνω στο router.
Του έβαλα καινούριους drivers μήπως και έφταιγε αυτό...αλλά τίποτα..
Του έδωσα και DNS Server το Router μου....πάλι τίποτα...
Έχει κάποιος κάποια ιδέα για το τι μπορεί να φταίει?
