Πρόβλημα με τα Visual Effects

Ψάχνω ώρες μπας και βρω κανένα παρόμοιο topic για τα Visual Effects αλλά δεν βρίσκω... Είμαι νέος στο linux κ δε μπορώ να τα ενεργοποιήσω! Ενώ εγκατέστησα τους ανοιχτούς driver της ΑΤΙ δεν ενεργοποιούνται. Και είναι καλή κάρτα γραφικών (3870) και στα Windows έχω Crossfire! Εδώ τι παίζει?

Θέλω να βάλω κανένα εφέ με το Compiz και δε μπαίνει τίποτα!

Λογικά το Compiz είναι ενεργοποιημένο απο μόνο του, και τους drivers τους βάζει απο μόνο του το λειτουργικό. Βασικά στο 9.04 δεν θα έπρεπε να είχες τέτοιο πρόβλημα...

Πήγαινε System -> Preferenses -> Appearance πάτα στην καρτέλα που λέει Visual Effects και πάτα το τρίτο. Ίσως να δουλεύει το Compiz αλλά να μην είναι ενεργοποιημένο. Πάντως αν περί αυτού πρόκειται θα το καταλάβεις αμέσως επειδή θα παίζουν ωραία τα παράθυρα.

Επίσεις κάνε εγκατάσταση και το ccsm.

Tώρα αν συνεχίσει το πρόβλημα...

Πάτησα το Extra αλλά λέει Desktop effects could not be enabled. Επίσης έχω εγκαταστήσει το ccsm και στο

Για την συγκεκριμένη καρτα δεν εχουν 3D υποστηριξη ακόμα οι ανοιχτοι drivers. Πάνε στο System--Administration--Hardware Drivers και ενεργοποιησε τους κλειστους.

Καλημερα
Μετα την εγκατασταση του 9.04 εχω το ιδιο προβλημα,δηλαδη δεν μπορω να ενεργοποιησω τα effects.
Στην εντολη compiz εχω τα εξης

Αν ενεργοποίησω τους κλειστούς δεν ξεκινάει το Ubuntu (Δε μπαίνει στο γραφικό περιβάλλον) και τους απεγκατηστώ...
Πως θα ξέρω αν βγουν drivers που να υποστηρίζουν 3D?
